1) Gondola Sauna
In Finland, there are a few places where you can book a sauna session inside a converted ski lift gondola. Offering a spectacular view, this sauna can accomodate 4 people and has windows from which you can see out but people cannot see in. One of the windows can be opened if desired.
2) Floating Sauna
In Norway, there is a small floating sauna in the middle of a lake with semi-transparent walls and a hole in the middle for when you want to take a quick dip in the cold water.
3) Submarine Sauna
This Swedish designed sub sauna can be put into a lake as the change room is above water. A ladder staircase leads down into the sauna which is completely underwater and provides a great view with it’s window walls and bright lighting system.
4) Arena Skybox Sauna
If you want to catch a hockey game or concert in Helsinki, why not stay in the one of their sauna equipped skyboxes? There is even a window in some of them to enjoy the show while you steam up.
5) Bus Sauna
This Canadian bus, created for promotional purposes, has a sauna in the back that fits 10 people comfortably. Propane provides the means to run the sauna along with solar power.
6) Tower Sauna
This small 2 person Italian sauna stands on a hill on wooden stilts with 2 portholes positioned to see the sunset. The design is inspired by the raven and it is intended to conform to nature.
7) Boat Sauna
Yet another floating sauna but this time on a small cruise ship. Sit in the sauna, which fits 8 people, and enjoy the view while touring the Finnish coastline and archipelago.
8) Mirrored Sauna
This interesting sauna in upstate New York, USA, has the unique feature of all its external walls being mirrored. Being on a deeply wooded hillside with a river below, the sauna seems almost nonexistent when viewed from a distance.
9) Bicycle Sauna
In the Czech Republic you can find a six person mobile wood-burning sauna that can be pulled behind a bicycle. Enjoy a nice sauna to rewind after your long bike trek.
10) Ice Sauna
In Finland you can book a session in an ice sauna. Even though it’s walls are ice it doesn’t mean it’s cold inside. Ten people can heat up and then go for a quick dip in the freezing water via a hole in the ice.
